Baby Gascot was welcomed into our studio by one of our photographers, Brandi Lester, a few weeks ago as part of our rainbow baby model call that we announced in celebration of rainbow babies. A rainbow baby is a baby born to parents who have been struggling with infertility and/or pregnancy/infant loss.

Rainbow Baby GascotFor this rainbow baby session, we wanted to focus on the wonderful simplicity of it all - white background, white wrap, and an adorable felt rainbow heart. Mom of Baby Gascot shared their story with us:

"I’m not the best writer but the short story is: that we struggled with secondary infertility. Was able to get pregnant but kept suffering early miscarriages (5 in total). My husband and I both had multiple tests done and each had minor procedure/surgeries completed. Once healed we were easily able to conceive and deliver our wonderful rainbow baby."

The treasure at the end of the rainbow! For this image, Brandi wanted to represent the "pot of gold at the end of the rainbow" - or in this case, beautiful baby! One end of the cloud is empty - a symbol of the sweet babies they lost - while the other end holds their precious boy.

This simple, yet profound, newborn photography session is a perfect tribute to this rainbow baby and the incredible journey of two parents who refused to give up. Congratulations to the Gascot family!
